HOLIDAY OF MASLIANA
In the last week before the Great Lent, Ukrainians celebrate the Feast of Masliana or Colodoia. Different names have an ancient Slavic feast, which symbolizes the victory of light and heat over darkness and cold. This is one of the joyful holidays when people spend winter and meet spring. The main symbols of the holiday are pancakes and dumplings. Traditionally, students of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Economics on March 5 joined the oil-mass celebration.
Let winter take with itself all the hardships, and spring will bring only happiness, good luck, joy, family well-being and prosperity.
